Everything is ceremony in the wild garden of childhood.
-Pablo Neruda
Dear Oliva,
You should know, I was once a cub bear. Climbing trees with my sturdy paws, skillfully using my claws as needed.
I was a villain with a diabolical plan and a sinister grin.
I was a 1st mate checking the wind in my sails while navigating the rough waters with ease.
Now the trees and the high seas belong to you Little Flower. This is your wild garden.
With Love,
Mama
I loved it. It would be nice to make it a habit. I think kids would appreciate short letters from their parents later in life.

I love Pablo Neruda… I read his poems in Spanish as even the best translations can’t express and convey the spirit of the language…

Such a romantic language. How many languages do you speak? I’m envious.
