I’ll Follow The Sun

Stellar review on a recent Syracuse celebration of the legendary group that we’re still talking and writing about all these years later. Mark Bialczak recounts the show for us here. Spoiler: this girl has a bit part at the very end, hooray!

My favorite Beatles song and possibly the first identifiable tune to come from ukelele practice is I’ll Follow the Sun. Do you have a favorite?

“I’ll Follow The Sun”

One day you’ll look to see I’ve gone

For tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun
Some day you’ll know I was the one
But tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sunAnd now the time has come
And so my love I must go
And though I lose a friend
In the end you will know, ooohOne day you’ll find that I have gone
But tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun

Yea, tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun
And now the time has come
And so my love I must go
And though I lose a friend
In the end you’ll know, oooh

One day you’ll find that I have gone
But tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun

  1. I never realized how much I loved the Beatles until just last year. The local radio station I listen to has been playing early interviews from 1963 and later. Those guys were great! Can’t say I’m too happy with what Paul McCartney has been turning out recently on his own. It was really that magic of Lennon and McCartney together that I loved.

    1. Have to agree Emilio! I love the combo of Lennon McCartney. They balanced each other out so nicely. I read somewhere that the perfect illustration of how they played off each other are the lyrics:
McCarney=”have to admit it’s getting better”
Lennon in the background=”can’t get much worse.”

      Classic. Thanks for commenting!
