Suzie, Meet My Family

Suzie81 Speaks Weekly Word Challenge: Family

A Love StoryPull up a chair let me walk you through my family photo album. Small family so it will be brief, promise. Here’s my mom and dad. They haven’t changed much since this pic:

A Love Story

I love this picture of the two of them at their wedding reception.

This is my brother. He hasn’t changed much since these days either:

In looking at this picture I can smell the honey suckle climbing up the post behind us and taste the strawberries growing next to me. I wish my parents had never moved from that house we grew up in.

My little family has changed a bit from this:

Oliva was 4 months old in this one. About 5 months before she looked like so:

I look grouchy here. Probably because I’m huge and had to pee. I could never venture too far from the loo at this stage. More recently:

I’m happier and hubby is too:

O and E restarauntThanks for the inspiration and the opportunity to share a little bit about my loves.

    1. Thanks Sheena! My brother says I look like “70’s mom.” I’ll have to find a picture of her in the 70s to see for myself. I hope you’re doing well friend.

  1. Love lives through your generations, Sandra. I think you are a great combo of both your parents, and Oliva is a wonderful mix of you and Erik. And I must talk woman’s hair here the way your mom went from beehive to lone-bang-curl and you evolved from a little bit pop to a little bit punk. Thanks for sharing for Suzie’s challenge!

    1. Thanks Mark! I think my brother and I both resemble Frank and Dolores, west coast. Not to be confused with Frank and Dolores, east coast. And I also think that “a little bit punk” would make a great descriptor in my About section. 😉

      1. I don’t have any old pictures. Not that old. But I don’t prefer any of them before the other. They are just different!
