I know I just said it, but I will say it again: Your family photos always make me smile, especially the older ones. What a sweet memory 🙂

Thanks John! I want to write more about my parents some day. I think they have an interesting story. I appreciate your comment!

Her dress says she’s a real square; her hair says she is not.

She’s the coolest cat I know. Taught me how to mash potato on the linoleum when I was just three apples high. 😉

I almost used “True Love” as my title for this post! I went with Love Always because it’s how my dad signed off on their picture.

Yes, Love Always does apply to them, sometimes True Love is just in the moment.

Your dad Frank had it going on in high school, Sandra. And mom Lola — what a great nickname for Dolores! — knew it then and now, didn’t she? Thank you for allowing their light to shine in my house today, my friend.

If I do not see you here beforehand, Sandra, I wish you a delightful Mother’s Day, my friend! Cut up the rug with your little rocker Oliva!

I love handwritten notes too. I stumbled on this one. It’s been snug in it’s frame for years. I removed it to scan it for this post and found my dad’s voice on the back. When he was just a boy. It warmed my heart. A happy Mother’s Day to you too my friend!
