State Theater Marysville, California

The screen went dark in 1999

Initially opened in 1927 as the National Theater. This large abandoned theatre has been vacant since 1999. The decorative niches along the upper story once held urns. The street level is adorned with tile circa the 1970’s and is currently boarded up. Today the theater stands defaced by cheap spray paint with litter strewn about. The marquee is dilapidated from years of neglect. Click on the source link for a beautiful picture of how she looked in her prime.
