I regret that I wasn’t able to capture the red markings on the bird’s wings. I did some research and I think it most resembles the Red-Winged Black Bird. It sings a really pretty song.

“I don’t know which to prefer-
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,
The blackbird whistling
Or just after.”
-Wallace Stevens
Nice capture. This post makes me think of the Beatles song.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arrive

Great photos of this redwing, Sandra. Breathtaking bird it is!
