It’s been raining and dreadful really. While watching the news it occurred to me that we are using unusual vocabulary and phrases recently. I splashed down a list that turned into a low tech word game. A distraction at least.
Take good care friends. It’s gotta get better, right?

Sandra

Did I make it too easy? Too hard? Do you like word games?
I really like your b&w. I like rain, but not all the time 🙂 Every time you turn on the news it’s so sombre. ‘Social Distancing’ has become the new craze here. But yes, it has to get better! Take care yourself, Sandra!

Thank you Peter! Yes it’s all disconcerting. I mostly wanted to get these words out of my head. Take good care

Oh … and yes … it is almost like an ‘end of the world’ scenario, and all we can think of is filling our homes with packs of toilet rolls .. and some folk are even fighting over them in the aisles? I bet nobody saw that one coming, huh?

It’s shocking really. I guess this is what a pandemic looks and feels like. Hopefully things settle down soon. I feel silly saying that but it has to change, eventually. I hope.

A bit of fun on your blog is always a good thing. I hope you have blue skies soon. Are you in the part of California that has to shelter in place? Take care, Sandra.

Thank you, Chris! We live about 100 miles from areas that are sheltering in place. Schools are closed. The uncertainty is unsettling. Are you feeling the effects too? Hope you’re well.

We are not sheltering in place but schools are closed and restaurants are take out only. I’m teaching my classes online. Which is different and kind of fun to try. I’m glad you’re not stuck indoors. 😊

Sounds like you’re navigating the uncertain waters beautifully, Chris! Keep it up friend.

Great game for our times, Sandra. I’ve found that I’ve adopted some of the new phrases, and I don’t know if that’s good or bad. My most frequent as I’ve posted some things on social media today is ‘our new normal.’ I hope it doesn’t last too darn long. Be safe, everybody. That’s something I’m saying more and more, too.

Thank you, Mark. Yep those are great examples too. I hope you and the east coast side of the family tree stay safe and warm and healthy! Xo

I’m noticing the same, Mark. Sigh. Not much we can do other than wait and hope for the best.

All the pollens are high here, so my brain cannot do puzzles today. I have a picture almost exactly like that one, that I saved bc I like the feel. I was like, “Did Sandra hijack my C drive?”

I LOVE games! This one was great! If you were here (or I was there), we could sit way across the room from each other, watch Hitchcock movies, and play board games using a long pointer stick to move the game pieces. ❤
