Rummaging through my library for content. found a few shots from Placerville that I haven’t shared yet.

Here’s a closer look at the mural on the wall above:

And here’s one from a different building:

These were taken prior to the mandate to stay home. I hope you’re all doing well friends!
Xo,
Sandra
I really like the murals, especially the lady in the window. The colours and illusion are wonderful. We can still go out here in England for now, but only once a day for excercise, or for shopping, medical supplies or if you are a key worker. Keep well and safe there 🙂

Thank you Peter! This was a fun day trip in early March which feels like it was a decade ago given all that’s happened in such a short amount of time. I’m glad to hear you’re well! We are taking good care. You do the same.

Sandra, I really like the painted window. I watched someone paint a widow with shutters recently for a stage set. It’s an impressive use of perspective. And the museum building is also really nice.

How fun that must have been, Chris! I wish I could paint like that. Thank you for stopping by!

I tend to stick to photos because my painting skills are at the paint-by-numbers level. We are under a stay-at-home order effective tomorrow night. But the Governor said we can still go hiking!

Thanks for allowing me to search for Hoss and Little Joe on the big mural, Sandra. I’m glad people liked to paint on the buildings of Placerville and you were able to capture the magic.

I’m a fan of Ben Cartwright and his family who own the Ponderosa, Mark. Always a feel good story. Thank you for your kind words my friend!

Not what comes to mind, that’s for sure! This was such a fun visit. I had no idea what we were heading into at this point last year! Probably a good thing. Thanks for visiting Kerbey!
