Mining the Archives

Rummaging through my library for content. found a few shots from Placerville that I haven’t shared yet.

Here’s a closer look at the mural on the wall above:

Looks like a scene from Bonanza

And here’s one from a different building:

Tortilla Flats Mexican Restaurant
Chamber of commerce
Check out these shutters

These were taken prior to the mandate to stay home. I hope you’re all doing well friends!

Sandra

  1. I really like the murals, especially the lady in the window. The colours and illusion are wonderful. We can still go out here in England for now, but only once a day for excercise, or for shopping, medical supplies or if you are a key worker. Keep well and safe there 🙂

    1. Thank you Peter! This was a fun day trip in early March which feels like it was a decade ago given all that’s happened in such a short amount of time. I’m glad to hear you’re well! We are taking good care. You do the same.

      1. I tend to stick to photos because my painting skills are at the paint-by-numbers level. We are under a stay-at-home order effective tomorrow night. But the Governor said we can still go hiking!

    1. Not what comes to mind, that’s for sure! This was such a fun visit. I had no idea what we were heading into at this point last year! Probably a good thing. Thanks for visiting Kerbey!
