This is a little treasure I picked up at a thrift store many years ago for a dollar. “Fortune Cat is known as Maneki Neko in Japanese, which means “beckoning cat.” The cat has its paw raised as if it’s waving in good fortune for its owners. Other common monikers include Lucky Cat, Money Cat, Waving Cat and Welcoming Cat.” –Holly Tse with Catster.com
Maneki Neco

What a great find and for only a dollar. If COVID-19 keeps us staying close to home much longer, I may be photographing some of my similar finds. I actually have a cool little cup fashioned from a canister used for shoe shine polish. I bought it when I lived in El Salvador. It too was only a dollar. I hope your cat brings you lots of luck today.

I’ll try to make a picture sometime soon. In the meantime, I have one you’ll like today.

Thank you Pete! She makes me smile. One of the little things I’m noticing more these days. Hope you’re doing well!

Aw thanks Mark! Funny thing is the puppy is always trying to knock her down. I don’t know why but she’s got it in for her.
