Red-Shouldered Hawk

This morning I learned that a red-tailed hawk is not the same as a red-shouldered hawk. I hope I’ve correctly ID’d accordingly in previous posts.

Red-Shouldered Hawk

There was a grey squirrel down below scurrying about. The hawk was laser focused on it’s every move.

      1. In previous years I would have been out tracking our Red Kite and Buzzard populations although I still record any sightings of these raptors. Also Barn Owls! All voluntary work. Being retired from work allows one to follow many paths! 😊

    1. Thank you Chris! I snapped a twig with my shoe as I was trying to creep up for a closer shot. Startled the bird and it flew away before it could grab a bite to eat. I hope you had a great day!
