Marvellous! Just what’s needed on a walk! I find it shocking how dry the ground looks; nothing like that over this side of the Atlantic! The bench looks like it needs a coat of wood preservative!

Thank you Ashley! Yes, we are still super thirsty here in CA. We need biblical rains to fall. These grounds are maintained by a team of volunteers mostly. I suppose that’s why many benches and fences are weathered. My daughter tripped and fell hard on her knee otherwise I would have had more pictures to share of these pretty gardens. She’s ok. She lost her footing on some uneven concrete and went flying. 😢

Oh dear, sorry to hear about your daughter’s fall. I hope the bench wasn’t too far away so she could rest a while.

I love benches to sit on along a path even if I don’t have the time to sit I feel like the invitation is still there.

It feels very thoughtful of them to provide these places to rest and regroup. I agree, it’s comforting knowing they are there. Thank you Morag!

We often have benches donated in memory of some one? do you also have that?

We see those here too. Such a kind way to honor someone who has passed.
