Do you use Goodreads? It’s a fun way to curate your own virtual library for example you can inventory and rate books you have read which generates recommendations for other books to read. You can also collect titles that you wish to read in the future. This time of year they provide a stellar feature that summarizes the books you read throughout the year. I think I recommended Becoming the most this year so by that measure it’s easily a stand out for me, but I have a hard time choosing just one best story of 2019. Educated was memorable and moving. I also really enjoyed Where the Crawdads Sing as well.

That’s a lot of books! About 1/3 of my bathtub reads I give up on and donate away because life is too short for meh lit-ra-ture!

I’m with you. If something doesn’t grab me right away I’m onto the next one. Time is way too short and my to read list is way too long. 😉

My latest author is Elizabeth Strout, Sandra. I started with her latest, ‘Olive, Again,’ and am now going through her very human novels one-by-one. It’s fun to discover and catch up.

I love getting book recommendations from friends! Sounds like a good writer. I looked her up thru my library app. The wait time for Olive Kitteridge is 6 months! Must be a great rec. So nice to hear from you, bro!

Yeah, I know I will have to finish with ‘Olive Kitteridege’ because it is by far her most popular (and famous), Sandra! Yes, let’s do better at keeping in touch in 2020!

I do use Goodreads and I used to be an avid reader but somehow it has fallen by the wayside of late and I didn’t read any books in 2019!

I fall into similar reading slumps too. Looks like your year was filled with lots of other adventures instead. A nice trade off for sure!
