More pictures to share with you from my visit to the gold rush town of Placerville known as Hangtown. Did you miss my explanation of the monicker? Visit this post if so, Street Signs.

Perfectly described as follows on their city website, “Situated above the fog line and below the snow line, Placerville boasts an ideal climate with four distinct seasons.”

The temperature was in the 40’s on the morning of my visit and I was dressed for the 70 degree afternoon an hour down the road. Yikes I was cold!

The scenery was a welcome distraction.
Thanks for Tour Part II, Sandra. It is an interesting place, indeed.

Thank you Chris! I like that tower too. It’s taller than you might expect especially up close. Take good care

You too. 😊

It looks nice. Almost as if it were yanked out of another period in time (minus the modern day cars of course).

Very cool! The hotel might look a little haunted. And I wonder what the bell is for. 🙂

I think it’s rumored to be haunted! Good guess, Rachel. I need to look into the bell. I’ll see what I can find.
